Maximiliansforum

Das Maximiliansforum, andere Namen waren/sind Lenbachhaus/Kunstforum, ZKMax, Die Passage für interdisziplinäre Kunst, ist ein Ausstellungsort des Kulturreferats der Stadt München. 2000 wurde die ca. 1600m² Fläche umfassende Unterführung / Passage im Kreuzungsbereich von Altstadtring und Maximiliansstraße für Kunstprojekte umgewidmet und umgestaltet. Die Passage ist durchgehend einsehbar, der Eintritt ist frei. Von 1973 bis 1995 war hier das ‚Kunstforum’ der Städtischen Galerie im Lenbachhaus. Es handelt sich um einem variablen Ausstellungsraum für temporäre Projekte, die verschiedene Gattungen und Medien die Präsentation in der Öffentlichkeit ermöglichen soll, wie multimediale und experimentelle Kunst, Malerei, Neue Medien, Design, Mode, Musik, Installation, Film und Performances (Aufführungen).
